The Hiller Realty Minor Peewee Rep. team played two games over the weekend facing the Waterloo Wolves at the Rotary arena on Saturday and making the trip to Hamilton on Sunday.

The Warriors came out on Warrior Day with strong team play and got on the board first when Carter Stock took a feed from Ethan Aarts and fired the puck at the net.  The goalie made the initial save, but Michael Tigani was in a great position to poke home the rebound.  In the second period, Waterloo battled back and picked up two goals to take the lead.  In the third period, the Warriors used solid defense and sharp goaltending to keep the Wolves off the board, but ran out of time before they could pick up the tying goal.

On Sunday, the Warriors traveled to Hamilton to take on the Huskies.  In the first period the Warriors showed great team defense and had several quality scoring chances, but could not solve the Huskies goalie.  The opposition opened the scoring half-way through the second, but the Warriors continued to battle for the tying goal, while shutting down the Hamilton offense.  Their hard work paid off late in the third when Zach Carman took a pass from Erik Smith and beat the Huskies netminder to tie the game with just 3 minutes left on the clock.  The Warriors appeared to have their first point of the regular season, when a penalty shot was awarded to the opposition in the last minute of the game.  With the pressure on, goalie Nolan Traynor came up with a huge save to salvage the tie.
