First League Win
written by Trevor Trainor

The Hiller Realty minor peewee Warriors picked up their first win of the season in London, edging the Junior Mustangs White 4-3.
Leading 3-2, forechecking from Erik Smith and Zach Freeland led to a Warriors' powerplay where Jack Whitehead set up Carter Musselman who fired a slapshot from the point that beat the Mustangs goalie for what turned out to be the game winner.  Strong defensive play and some clutch saves from goalie Dailey Trainor secured the 4-3 win.  Colten Cowen had 2 goals and an assist, Caleb Musselman a goal and 2 assists and Braydon Tinning one goal.

The minor peewees then lost 6-3 to the Burlington Bulldogs.  Goals by Michael Tigani and Zach Carman, off a Carter Musselman rebound, had the Warriors within a goal, entering the 3rd period.  But Burlington scored 2 quick goals to pull away.  With the support of hard-working defensive play by Owen Fraser and sharp goaltending by Nolan Traynor, the Warriors were able to keep the game close.  The Warriors cut into the deficit late in the 3rd when Owen Duiker took a pass from Freeland and blasted a shot into the back of the Bulldogs' net.
