Warriors Rally Back
The Hishon Custom Novice Tier One Warriors improved their record to 19-7-3 this weekend.

On Thursday night the Warriors faced off against the Mitchell Meteors for a friendly exhibition tilt.  Both teams had a solid start to the game with each goalie being tested with end to end action.  Mitchell struck first as they squeaked one past Stratford netminder Brenden Sippel.  Mid-way through the second Ryan Ganselves found the back of the net for the Warriors and Carter Petrie had a buzzer beater to put the Warriors ahead by one going into the third.  The third period saw Colin Schultz nab a hattrick, assisted by Dawson White twice, Nathan Siebert and Ganselves.  Tier Two call up Zach Schultz was solid on the blue line for the Warriors, while Grady Murphy played his typical gritty style to keep Mitchell limited to 2.  The boys had a great time playing against their buddies down the road and are looking forward a rematch in the New Year!

Saturday afternoon the Warriors made the road trip to Sarnia for a tough game against the Junior Sting.  With Sippel and Aidan Hill sharing the duties between the pipes Sarnia came out strong and took an early two goal lead.  With the Warriors fighting to get on the board, aggressive play from Aaron Green, Austin Musselman, Cody Bach and Rylan Hall on the blue line held Sarnia at two goals going into the third period.  Petrie went top shelf a minute into the third to put the Warriors on the board, but Sarnia answered back quickly to take a 3-1 lead.  Petrie nabbed a second goal for the Warriors, assisted by Ganselves to put the Warriors within one.  With six minutes remaining Colin Schultz tied the game, assisted by Blair Stokes. Solid work from Lukas Steele and Blake Hodgson~ and some extra crowd support from the Tier 2 Warriors kept the home team from netting anymore and gave the Tier 1's the tie on the road.
