Busy and Successful Weekend for Tier 1's
The Hishon Custom Novice Tier 1 Warriors had a 3 game weekend and came away with 2 wins and a tie.

On Friday night the boys took on their buddies from down the road, the Mitchell Meteors.  With Aidan Hill on duty in net the first period was scoreless despite being tested numerous times.  The second period saw Nathan Siebert tip one in from a hard shot by Aaron Green.  Mid-way through the second the Warriors found themselves in the box and Mitchell was able to capitalize to tie the game 1-1.  Dawson White had a solid game keeping the puck in the zone, while Rylan Hall and Austin Musselman worked hard on the blue line.  The third period saw Green score with a backhand shot to give the Warriors the 2-1 win.

Saturday morning the 3rd place Warriors faced off against the 2nd place West London Hawks.  Always a solid tilt between these two teams, this weekend was no different.  Early in the first the Hawks struck first by sliding one past netminder Brenden Sippel.  Not rattled at all, Sippel fended off their snipers and the Warriors were able to grab a goal from Colin Schultz to tie the game 1-1 to end the first.  End to end action in the second saw Blake Hodgson digging hard to create scoring chances and Cody Bach taking away their opportunities.  Late in the second a beauty feed from Ryan Ganselves, saw Colin Slattery bury the puck to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead.  The Hawks nabbed one more in the third to tie the game 2-2.

Sunday night the team travelled again to London to take on the North London Nationals.  The Warriors were able to weather the storm and come home with a 10-3 victory.  In the first period Ganselves nabbed an early goal, assisted by Slattery and Carter Petrie.  Schultz and Blair Stokes combined for a second goal with a solid one-timer from Schultz.  Grady Murphy dug hard all game and came away with and early goal in the first and Aaron Green grabbed one from the point.  Stokes finished off the first period with an aggressive goal out front to give the Warriors a 5-1 lead.  In the second period Murphy added his second of the night,  Lukas Steele went top shelf and Green nabbed his second as Stratford pulled ahead 8-2.  The third period saw London grab their third and final goal of the night.  Ganselves added his second of the night as did Slattery to give the boys a 10-3 win.  Aidan Hill took the win in net with some key saves throughout the night.

Next Action:  The Warriors will participate in the Preston Hockey Tournament Jan 15-17th.
