Warriors 2, Opposition 0
The Stratford Warriors Neumeister Motors Ltd Tier II Novice team had a big weekend winning both games and taking possession of second place in league standings. On Saturday, Kinsmen Arena was the setting for the boys 6-3 triumph over the West London Hawks. Liam Ollson opened the scoring unassisted. Dylan Abel scored his first of two goals with assists to Tyson Cassone and Sam Binns. Nick Wagner scored his first goal of the year on a nice rush from centre ice.

It was an over due goal for Wagner who has been jumping up into the play providing another option for the offence. The third period produced two goals for the Warriors. Logan Hallock started the scoring with the helper goaing to Ollson. Binns scored the sixth goal of the game with the assist to Zach Schultz. Brody Cowen played well in the second half of the game keeping the lead for Stratford. On Sunday the Sarnia Junior Sting paid a visit to the Allman arena. Stratford outshot the opposition by a wide margin and prevailed with a 12-3 victory. Aaron Jones, who played a great game on offence, started the scoring for the Warriors with an unassisted tally. The second goal of the game went to Liam Ollson with the assist to Logan Hallock. Ollson followed up with a brilliant redirect off a nice feed from Hallock. Ollson then scored twenty seconds later to complete the natural hat trick. The fourth goal was scored by Nick Wagner, assisted by Jones. Wagner then scored two more to complete the hat trick. Jones scored his second of the game with line mates Ollson and Hallock drawing helpers. Sam Binns scored unassisted, followed by Matthew Benner from Ellis Schnurr and Tyson Cassone. The last goal of the game went to Jordan Keane with his first of the year assisted by Rowan Smith and Owen Chadwick. Keane has been playing great defence this year so finding the back of the net was a well deserved reward. Lachlan Stanley made several nice stops to help out with the victory.
