Warriors Defeat Nationals
The Neumeister Motors Ltd. Tier II Novice team defeated the North London Nationals by a score of 11-5. The Stratford offence was dominant all game outshooting their opponents 30-11. Liam Ollson got the Warriors on the board in the second period with helpers from linemates Aaron Jones and Logan Hallock. Tyson Cassone scored the next two, with an assist to Matthew Benner. Ellis Schnurr made it 4-2 with an assist to Ollson. Zach Schultz scored to make it 5-2 Warriors heading into the third period.
Sam Binns scored the Warriors sixth goal of the game with Owen Chadwick getting the assist. Roles were reversed on the next goal with Chadwick scoring and Binns getting the assist. Newly converted defenceman Dylan Abel scored on a nice shot with Cassone lending a hand. Abel played a good game on defence for the Warriors helping out at both ends of the ice. Binns scored his second of the game with Liam Eddleston getting the assist. Ollson then buried his second of the game with Rowan Smith getting the assist. Schnurr scored his second of the game with Cassone and Zach Scrimgeour assisting. Jordan Keane showed great hustle on defence all game for Stratford. Next up, Niagara-on-the Lake tournament.
