Warriors Face Stiff Compettion
The Tier II Novice Warriors participated in the annual Niagara-on-the-Lake Christmas tournament over the holidays. The Warriors entered into the Rep division of the tournament and competed hard, but received stiff opposition from Noble King, Niagara-on-the-Lake and Stirling. The first game for the Warriors saw them drop a 5-3 decision to the Noble King Knights. Stratford took a 3-0 lead early into the second period on goals from Ellis Schnurr, and two from Logan Hallock. Noble King stormed back with five unanswered goals in the latter half of the second period and into the third period. The Warrior defencemen moved the puck well with Tyson Cassone, Jordan Keane and Nick Wagner drawing assists. Liam Ollson also recorded two assists in the loss.

The next morning saw the Warriors lose 7-1 to the host team, Niagara-on-the Lake. Tyson Cassone scored for Stratford with Owen Chadwick getting the lone assist. In the third and final game of the tournament, the Stirling Blues, who were undefeated in regular season play, provided the opposition. Both Warrior goalies, Lachlan Stanley and Brody Cowen, had strong games in net with Cowen making some brilliant saves early in the game to keep the team in it. Dylan Abel scored in the first period with the helper from Ellis Schnurr. The Warriors' second goal came from Logan Hallock with the assist to Zach Schultz.
