Weekend Round-up
The Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Major Atoms hosted the Woodstock Navy Vets on Saturday.

Woodstock opened the scoring in the first, but the Warriors weren’t long retaliating with a goal from Ethan Martin, assisted by Cole Meadows and Sam Jeffrey.  Tied 1-1 after the first, Woodstock scored the only goal of the second, making it 2-1 Navy Vets.   The defensive duo of Luke Zorgdrager & Luke Heisz managed to fend off the Navy Vets on several occasions to keep Stratford in the game.  Woodstock came out strong in the 3rd scoring 2 more goals to make it a 4-1 final.

The Major Atom squad travelled to Sarnia on Sunday to take on the Sting.  Sam Jeffrey was "johnny on the spot" to start things for the red, white and blue.  The teams continued to trade goals throughout the 1st and 2nd periods before the Warriors broke things wide open.  A structured defensive team game lead by Colton Gibson and Avery Thurston and tireless back checking by Kaden Brame, Owen Holloway and Cole Meadows thwarted the Sting attack on several occasions.  Ethan Martin and Sam Jeffrey did all the offensive damage for the Warriors; Martin with 4 goals, Jeffrey with 3, including a couple of empty netters, and great play-making from Cole Meadows paced the Warriors to a 7-3 victory.  Liam Parsons chocked up a win between the pipes.

The Perth Auto Dismantlers will try to make it two in a row when they travel to London to take on the Purple Mustangs on Saturday.
