East Novice Warriors Fall to Red and White
This past weekend the Rheo Thompson Novice East Warriors battled both Cambridge Red and Cambridge White but came up on the losing end both days.

On Saturday the boys travelled to Cambridge to face the 2nd place round-robin leading Red Hawks, who have only dropped 2 of their 13 games played in playoffs. This was a much bigger and physical team than the boys, but they battled hard. Despite being down 5-0 at the halfway point of the game the boys managed to keep the 2nd half closer for a final score of 8-1. Hudsyn Chaput was the lone goal scorer for the Warriors and Andrew Davis was awarded the player of the game for his great defensive effort!

Sunday the Warriors travelled back to Cambridge, but this time to face the White Hawks. The first 2 meetings between these 2 teams Stratford was on the losing end both games being 9-1 losses. The Warriors were prepared to give Cambrige a battle today, as they kept the game scoreless until the 1:50 mark of the 2nd when Cambridge was able to capitalize on a powerplay opportunity to end the 2nd 1-0. They added 2 more midway through the 3rd, and despite a final effort from Stratford with an empty net, Cambridge was able to add a final goal to their tally with 0:05 seconds to go to cap the game off 4-0.  Stratford was able to shutdown all 3 of Cambridge top scorers! Jake Taylor was awarded the player of the game for Stratford for his super effort today.

Next action for the East Warriors is Saturday in Woodstock and Sunday in St.Catherines where they will try to set a few new goals for their season!
