Thompson Warriors Earn Win In Game #2 Against Nationals
Sunday afternoon was the time, and the Allman Arena was the venue for game # 2 of the the playoffs for the Rheo Thompson Warriors hosting the London Nationals.

The first period was a scoreless stalemate with both teams exchanging only a few chances to gain the first marker of the game. The Warriors would jump to the lead at the 6:22 mark of the 2nd period on a sharp angle shot from Hudsyn Chaput with the assist belonging to Reid Morris. The Nationals would answer back with 0:16 remaining in the 2nd to tie the game at 1-1. It was looking like it would be a tight low scoring affair until the Nationals would score early in the 3rd to gain the lead, but that seemed to be the spark the Warriors needed to score the next 3 goals in the game. Earning the Warrior goals were Caellum Parsons, Maddyx Chaput with (2) and Hudsyn Chaput with his second of the game. Assists belonged to Jake Schultz with a pair, Nate VanBakel, Jack Haines, Hudsyn Chaput and Evan Hughes with single helpers. Piers Murray played a great game on defence keeping the Warriors in the game with a sliding save to block a shot. The Nationals would enter a late effort to tie the game scoring a pair of late goals but the Warriors would defend the lead for the win 5-4. Jakob Strahm and Carter Keating made some key saves which allowed to boys to maintain the win.

Next action for the Novice Warriors is this weekend against the London Bandits.
