Weekly wrap up for Warriors
The AJ Jackson Construction Minor Atom MD Warriors competed in the annual Niagara on the Lake tournament over the holidays.

The team ended up with one win and two losses in the tournament where goal scoring was at a premium. In the first game, the Niagara on the Lake Wolves were the competition and the Warriors came away with a 2-1 victory. Sam Binns had a great game at both ends of the ice while netting a pair of goals. Nick Wagner and Liam Ollson picked up assists and Jordan Keane played solid defence. Ollson was great on the penalty kill in the last minute of the game to help in the win for Stratford. In the second game of the day, the Warriors lost to the Niagara Falls Flyers 3-2. Zach Schultz got the team on the board with a solo effort in from the point. Matthew Benner scored the second goal of the game on a nice second effort with Wagner in on the helper. Zach Scrimgeour and Liam Eddleston played a steady game on defence. On the second day of the tournament, the matchup was against BCH and the team came out on the losing end 3-2. Ollson scored both of the goals on breakaways with one of them a great effort to get it away from both of their defencemen. Logan Hallock played well up front for the Warriors.   The playoff round of the Alliance West MD division began with the Warriors losing in Oakridge 7-6. Sam Binns lead the way on the score sheet with the hat trick, Spencer Murphy scored two goals and Liam Ollson chipped in with a single marker for Stratford. Leading the way on the assist side of the score sheet were Ellis Schnurr  and Logan Hallock with two each while Ollson, Zach Schultz, Jordan Keane and Rowan Smith each had one. Once again, defenceman Jordan Keane put forth great hustle and effort throughout the game. Next up for the Warriors a pair of weekend games, one in Sarnia and one at home to the London Nationals.
