Weekend Wins for Warriors
The AJ Jackson Construction Minor Atom MD Warriors won a pair of games this past weekend.
In Sarnia on Saturday, the team came away with a 8-1 victory. The Warriors dominated play through the first period but couldn't get one past the Sarnia goalie until halfway through the second period. Liam Ollson and Sam Binns each scored twice while Ellis Schnurr, Owen Chadwick, Matthew Benner and Spencer Murphy added singles. Logan Hallock, Jordan Keane, Zach Scrimgeour, Nick Wagner, Zach Schultz, Murphy and Binns added assists. On Sunday in Stratford, the London Bandits were the opposition and the Warriors pulled out a 4-2 win. Lachlan Stanley played well the first half of the game in net, making several key saves early in the game. The line of Schnurr, Binns and Hallock had a great game up front for the Warriors and Liam Eddleston was solid on defence. Scoring for Stratford were Hallock with two, Binns and Ollson. Schnurr had two assists for the winners with Hallock, Binns, Murphy and Eddleston getting the others.
