Tough Weekend for Warriors
The AJ Jackson Construction Minor Atom MD team had a loss and a tie this weekend in Alliance West playoff action, picking up one point out of a possible four points.
The results left the team in third place in the standings. On Saturday in London, the Warriors suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Bandits. Ryan McGill played a strong game in net for Stratford while Ellis Schnurr and Spencer Murphy played well up front and Liam Eddleston and Nick Wagner anchored the defence. Liam Ollson and Logan Hallock scored while Hallock, Wagner and Jordan Keane picked up the assists. On Sunday at the Allman Arena, the Warriors tied Oakridge 2-2. Matthew Benner scored both goals with assists going to Owen Chadwick, Dylan Abel and Sam Binns. Lachlan Stanley kept the point for Stratford with several key saves down the stretch. It was a tough result for the team having outplayed the opposition for most of the game. Next up a home and home with the West London Hawks.
