The Holloway Automotive Minor Atom Rep Warriors finished off the Burlington Bulldogs in 3 straight games to qualify for the division championship against the London Jr Knights Green!
Saturday afternoon saw the Warriors looking to grab the final 2 points in the 6 point series against the Burlington Bulldogs. The Warriors came out strong with an early goal from Colin Slattery, assisted by Colin Schultz. Carter Petrie closed out the first period with a second Warrior goal on a feed from Slattery. With a two goal lead Austin Musselman came up with some big defence on the blue line to keep the Bulldogs off the board, and netminder Aidan Hill did the same between the pipes. Dawson White then fired a rocket, assisted by Petrie and Slattery to move the Warriors ahead by 3. Burlington was able to slid one in on Brenden Sippel, but was the only one they got with Sippel’s hot glove. White nabbed his second of the game from a feed from Petrie to open up the third period and then Petrie scored his second as well with a feisty shorthanded goal. Gritty play from Rylan Hall and Cody Bach kept the Bulldogs with a lone goal. Slattery closed out the game with his second, unassisted, making the final score 6-1.
