The Holloway Automotive Minor Atom Rep Warriors earned 2 points of an 8 point series in Game #1 of the playoff finals.
The Molson pad was busy on Tuesday night as the London Junior Knights Green came to town for what promises to be an exciting series. Early in the game both netminders were tested again and again with end to end action. Aidan Hill was a force between the pipes as he stayed calm and controlled no matter what they threw at him. It wasn’t until early in the second period before Stratford finally got on the boards with a rocket from Carter Petrie off a feed from Colin Slattery and Aaron Green. The Warriors fought to hold on to the lead, killing off penalties and working the neutral zone. Unfortunately, with 2 minutes left in the game London slid one in off a rebound to tie the game. With the game looking like it would end that way and only 32 seconds left on the board Cody Bach sent the puck up the ice to Grady Murphy, who fed it to Petrie, who skated in and found the back of the net for the 2-1 win!
