Warriors vs Jr. Rangers White
On Tuesday, January 23, the Neumeister Motors Tier Two Novice Warriors took on the Kitchener Jr. Rangers White team. The game went back and forth and remained scoreless for the first period and part of the second. Unfortunately the Warriors got behind in the second half of the game. That does not change the strong performances from the team as they continued to show better positional play and passing.

In the game there were some standout performances. Evan Hughes got a much needed goal on a breakaway that was created with a lead pass from Kadyn Adams. Call-up Ethan Schmidt played well at forward and was a presence in the Rangers zone. Cody Duiker won battles for the puck and continued to make smart passes. Colton Campbell impressed in his Tier Two debut at defence as he broke up the Rangers attack with some smart stick work. Ezra Wreford returned to the team and effectively limited Rangers chances. Fischer McPherson had a strong game at defence as well as he skated Kitchener attackers away from the Warrior net several times.

In net, Quinn Smith had a very strong first period as he made a series of pad saves to keep the Rangers off the scoresheet.  Davis Longston came in for the second half of the game and made two saves with his helmet that stopped sure goals.

Disappointed but determined the boys practised Wednesday by having a shoot-out drill in preparation for their Saturday night home game against the Woodstock Navy Jets.
