Giving Thanks for Two Wins!
The Perth Auto Dismantlers Major Atom Warriors continued their league play with two wins on Thanksgiving weekend.

On Oct 5th the Warriors opened the long weekend with a win against the Woodstock Jr Navy Vets.  Ryan McGill took on the challenge in net and rose to the occasion with numerous glove saves.  After a scoreless first period, the Warriors scored the lone goal of the game off a shot from Carter Petrie, assisted by Nathan Siebert.  Despite some late game penalties on both sides, the Warriors emerged with the victory.

Saturday afternoon the Warriors went to battle with the London Jr Mustangs Purple at home.  Brenden Sippel held down the fort in net and kept the Mustangs off the board for almost the entire game!  The Warriors battled hard in the first period with Grady Murphy sliding one in, assisted by Colin Schultz and Rylan Hall.  Moments later Blair Stokes found the back of the net, assisted by Carter Petrie.  The boys closed out the first period with a snipe from Nathan Siebert, assisted by C.Schultz and Lukas Steele.  Big D on the blue line from Aaron Green and Zach Schultz continually shut down the Mustang offence.  Opening the second period Petrie netted one, assisted by Ryan Gansevles and Steele.  Gansevles then battled through the Mustangs and riffled one toward their netminder with Dawson White tucking it away to make it 5-0.  The third period saw Petrie deke in, assisted by White while Schultz grabbed his first of the game, assisted by Blake Hodgson and White.  Petrie ripped one last goal top shelf for the hattrick and the Warriors skated away with an 8-1 win.

Next action:  The Warriors travel to London Oct 10 to battle the London Jr Knights Green @6:30.
