Major Atoms Battle On With a 10-1-4 Record
The Perth Auto Dismantlers Major Atom Warriors continued their fight in league play with two weekend wins!

Sporting their new jersey’s on Saturday afternoon the Warriors took on the Burlington Bulldogs and skated away with a decisive 7-2 win.  Early pressure from the Bulldogs offence was no match for Brenden Sippel between the pipes who came up with multiple saves.  Colin Schultz opened the scoring going backhand, assisted by Blair Stokes.  In the second period Grady Murphy went bar down, unassisted and Lukas Steele picked up a goal on the power play, assisted by Carter Petrie.  Steele closed out the period with another goal, assisted by C. Schultz.  Heading into the third period with a score of 4-1, Nathan Siebert fired one from the point to advance the Warriors 5-1, assisted by Ryan Gansevles.   Burlington fought back and picked up a second goal but the Warriors answered back with goals from Steele and White.

Sunday night the Warriors travelled to London to take on the Jr Mustangs White.  The boys came out ready to play with Ryan McGill leading the way in net.  Stokes opened the scoring with a natural hattrick and then grabbed a fourth goal later in the third period.  C. Schultz, Petrie and Siebert also added goals with helpers going to Siebert, C.Schultz, Murphy, Stokes, Petrie, Aaron Green and Rylan Hall.   Dylan Abel, Zach Schultz, Blake Hodgson and Austin Musselman worked hard along the boards and helped McGill skate away with the shut out.

Next action:  The Warriors will compete in the 44th Annual Kitchener Oktoberfest Tournament Oct 20-22.
