The Perth Auto Dismantlers Major Atom Rep Warriors finished their series with Hamilton this weekend and will play Waterloo in the next round.
The Warriors closed out their series on Saturday afternoon with a sweep of the Hamilton Huskies. Early in the first Dawson White nabbed the first goal after scrum in front of the Hamilton net, Colin Schultz had the helper. Moments later Grady Murphy fired one in off a feed from Carter Petrie, giving Stratford a 2-1 lead. Hamilton managed to cut that lead in half sliding one in past Brenden Sippel but it was brief as Petrie closed out the first period with a goal, assisted by Rylan Hall. In the second period Lukas Steele grabbed a juicy rebound off a shot from Aaron Green on the power play giving Stratford a 4-1 lead. Strong work on the back check from Austin Musselman and Zach Schultz as well as the netminding due of Sippel and Ryan McGill helped Stratford finish off the series in three games.
