The Stratford All Equip Repair Minor PeeWee
MD Warriors played 1 game this past weekend on Sunday where they hosted the
Hamilton Huskies.
Stratford opened the scoring in the first period on a goal by Justin Hodgson. Lachlan MacArthur and Jackson Grasby picked up the assists.
The Warriors went up 2-0 on Hodson’s 2nd goal of the game coming off the rebound from a shot by MacArthur. The Warriors played a good defensive period holding Hamilton to 1 goal in the first by the hard play of Tyson Malcho and Noah Rankin. Both played hard on the boards and in the defensive end keeping pucks away from goaltender Hutton Patterson.
Patterson was solid , stopping many shots by Hamilton. The Huskies tied the game in the second frame before Jackson Campbell netted the Warriors third goal of the game. Assisting on the goal was Ethan Plotnik and Austin Cosstick.
Later in the second period Hodgson scored his 3rd goal of the game for the hat trick. Nate Framst collected the assist on the goal.The Warriors were unable to hold the lead in the 3rd period though and fell 9-4.
Looking ahead the All Equip Repair Minor Pee Wee MD Warriors travel to Oakridge this Sunday afternoon to take on the Aeros, then travel to Woodstock Monday night to face the Jr Navy Vets at 7pm.
