The Minor Pewee MD All Equip Repair & Service Jr. Warriors started their Tier 1 playoffs with a game against the Waterloo Wolves White, Saturday afternoon.

The game started quick, on the second shift defencemen Adam Jeffrey cleared a puck up the boards to Rowan Smith who fed Ellis Schnurr, who netted a back handed shot to put the Jr. Warriors on the board first. Five minutes later Smith netted his own from a feed by Schnurr. Schnurr on a Birthday high, didn't stop there, he made a beauty pass to Smith coming down the ice. Smith lined up a shot and blasted it between the goal post and goaltenders shoulder, to make it 3-0 Jr. Warriors ending the first period. Picking up where he left off Schnurr grabbed a puck starting the second and headed down the ice netting a shot five hole, after being tripped. Waterloo was able to grab two for themselves on breakaways to end the second 4-2. The third period was on its way with the Jr. Warriors spending a lot of time in the Wolves end. With penalties being lop sided the blue-white-red got caught on two 5 v 3 back to back, but goaltender Lachlan Stanley stood tall and grabbed all loose pucks and shots that came his way, not allowing the Wolves to fight threw. Defensemen Sammy Binns played hard on the boards for the Jr. Warriors holding the Wolves in. Liam Eddleston was solid on the back end stopping breakaways and 2 v 1 rushes. Luke Jackson had a good game pinching the boards and keeping pucks in the Wolves end. Adam Jeffrey kept pucks out of the Jr. Warriors end and kept Wolves from driving threw the blue. Nick Wagner played a good game giving offensive support and working the back end. Schnurr started his Birthday celebration early with a final shot ending the game to complete the HAT TRICK and give the Jr. Warriors a 5-2 victory.
