The
Royal LePage Hiller Realty Stratford Minor Peewee Rep Warriors continued their
series against the Burlington Cougars Blue this past weekend. On Saturday the Warriors took the first game
with a 2-1 win. The first period was
scoreless. At the start of the second
Rylan DeBoeck scored. He was assisted by
Bronwyn Langis and Nathan Slaght.
Ryan Cassone followed it up with the second Warrior’s goal. He was assisted by Mason Bauld and Cole Hishon.
The Cougars added their own goal half way through the third, but could not score after that.
Sunday the Warriors took to the road. They arrived in Burlington, and the results weren’t pretty. The Warriors had hoped to secure their spot for the finals, but the Cougars attacked
and came out on top. The Warrior’s were able to stay in the game for a bit when they added two goals to tie it up. Colton Brenzil added the first Warriors goal on the power play. He was assisted by Cole Hishon. Rylan DeBoeck got the second goal for the Warriors, short handed. However after that the Cougars managed to add three more goals to their score, including an empty net goal in the 6-2 game. The Warriors went home disappointed, needing to regroup. The Warriors play at Dufferin Arena Tuesday night at 8pm. Go Warriors Go!
