On Saturday night the Stratford Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantams hosted the Woodstock Navy Jets. Stratford came out aggressively right away, Jericho McNichol almost scored on the very first play of the game and then Stratford would open
the scoring with a goal from Ben Fizzel assisted by Jackson Campbell.
The Navy Jets would respond a few minutes later and then got the go-ahead goal. Gabe Emms would tie it up taking a pass from Cole Humphrey. Stratford had great pressure all game outshooting the Navy Jets, but Woodstock would net a power play goal and then score another to make it a 4-2 game.
Sunday night at the Duff the Minor Bantam’s faced off against the Cambridge Hawks. Stratford had a great start to the game with scoring opportunities but could not bury puck in the back of the Hawks net. First period would end with Hawks scoring 4 goals and 2 more in the second. Down 7-0 nearing the end of the third period with Stratford on a power play, Dylan Fischer would snipe one in, assisted by Gabe Emms and Cole Humphrey. The Warriors kept pace with a fast Hawks team but fell 7-1.
Next game for Stratford will be Sunday Oct 27 in London when they take on the London Jr Knights (white)
