Regular Season Begins!
By : Hugh and Denise Pearce

The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Bantam Reps hosted the Sarnia Jr Sting Saturday November 23 at the Rotary Complex. The Warriors look to start off the regular season on the right foot and shake off some of the rust from some down time. The 1st period the warriors looked to find their legs and sarnia would go up 2-0 after 1. The 2nd period the Sting would get another quick goal and go up 3-0. The Warriors would battle back and Nate Williams would let a clapper go from the point to make it 3-1! Shortly after Danny Van Straaten would get his own rebound and put it home to make it 3-2! All the Warriors were playing hard and taking the play to Sarnia. Late in the 2nd Garrett Spahiu would rip one from the point to make it a tie game 3-3! The 3rd would be a hard fought battle back and forth and Thomas Sheldon would make some highlight reel saves to give us a final score of 3-3. Good push back Warriors and show that you never give up! Next up is Cambridge Hawks on Sunday in Preston. GO WARRIORS GO!

The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Bantam Rep team would travel to Cambridge Sunday November 24th to play the Hawks. The Warriors would strike first as Kaden Brame would pounce on Danny Van Straatens rebound and make it 1-0. Then the wheels came off for the rest of the 1st period and the Hawks would score 4 unanswered goals. The Warriors would regroup to start the 2nd and Garrett Spahiu would send a blast from the point to find the back of the net on the powerplay! Making it 4-2. The Hawks would respond and score 2 more goals to make it 6-2 end of the 2nd period. The Hawks would come out in the 3rd and score 2 more making it 8-2. But the Warriors did not give up and Zach Richardson would make a rush and put a wrister past the goalie to make it 8-3. Shortly after Kaden Brame would let a shot go from the point and Ethan Dam would gather the rebound to make it 8-4. Tough loss for the Warriors but the boys showed heart and did not give up on themselves! Time to regroup Warriors and be ready to go next weekend! Next up: Warriors vs Mustangs at the rotary complex Saturday November 30 at 8pm.
