Nail Biter Against Mustangs Purple
BY Hugh and Denise Pearce
An exciting home game for all the Warriors fans to watch - close right to the end but a loss 4-3 to Mustangs.
The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire bantam rep team played host to the London Jr Mustangs purple Saturday at 8 PM at the Rotary complex.
The Warriors got out to a great start with Kaden Brame making a rush and sneaking it in short side to make it 1-0 Warriors 3 minutes in. 4 minutes later Kaden Brame would make a nifty drop pass for Owen Holloway who ripped it home to make it 2-0 Warriors. Thomas Sheldon was solid in net holding the Mustangs scoreless. The 2nd period the Mustangs would regroup and score 2 unanswered goals to make it 2-2 at the end of the 2nd.
The 3rd would see the Mustangs jump out to a early 3-2 lead. A couple minutes later Ethan Pearce would make a rush and outmuscle his way to the front of the net for a beauty wrap around goal to tie the game! However the Mustangs would score to make it a 4-3 final. All the Warriors played well and have lots of positives to take away from this game. Let’s Go Warriors ! Next up is the London Jr Mustangs white on Tuesday December 3rd at 8pm at the Rotary Complex.
