Silver Stick Tournament - Port Huron, USA
The Canadian Tire Major Bantam Stratford Warriors qualified for the International Silver Stick in Port Huron, Michigan by winning their regional Silver Sticks. With a win, a loss and a tie they represented Stratford well but didn't make the quarterfinals.
The first game for the Warriors was on January 17th against the Birmingham Rangers. It was a great way to start the tournament and saw the boys win 5-3. The next game that night against the Long Island Gulls was a different story with the Warriors being behind from the start and losing 4-1.
Saturday the Warriors came out full force and tied the 4th place A team in Ontario, the Halton Hills Thunder. The game ended 2-2. The boys worked hard and were glad for the chance to play internationally.
