The Holloway Automotive SMHA Minor Atoms beat the London Bandits 5-2 in Alliance minor hockey action on Sunday in Stratford. After falling behind early, the Warriors tied the game late in the first with defenseman Nathan Graff starting a nice three way passing play with Zach Freeland and Zach Carman with Freeland finishing the give and go to tie the game at one. Early in the second Nicholas McCabe banged home a rebound off an Erik Smith shot to give the Warriors the lead and they never looked back from there, outscoring the Bandits 3-1 the rest of the way.
Freeland added a second goal and an assist, Carman scored and also added another assist while their centreman Colten Cowen chipped in with a goal and an assist. Defenseman Caelan Trupp had a strong game and contributed two assists while goaltender Tallyn Soper picked up the win, making seveal key saves when the outcome was still in doubt.
