Written by Dave Graff. The SMHA Holloway Automotive Minor Atom reps defeated Sarnia 3-1 Sunday to run their Alliance Hockey League winning streak to 12 games.
After a scoreless first period the visiting Sting opened the scoring early in period two. Minutes later after a scamble around the Sarnia goal, Brody Jeffrey tied the game with assists going to Colten Cowen and Caleb Musselman. The Warriors increasingly got stronger as the game went on and were rewarded midway through the third period when Carter Musselman kept the puck in at the Sting line, fed brother Caleb in deep who sent it out front to Cowen who netted the eventual game winner. Cowen added an insurance marker with just over a minute to go with Caleb Musselman and Braydon Tinning assisting.
Nolan Traynor had a strong game in the Warrior goal while Michael Tigani and Spencer Eidt had excellent games on the Warrior blue line.
