Rheo Thompsom Tier 3 East Warriors Split Weekend Games
This past weekend the Rheo Thompsom Tier 3 East warriors had a win and a loss as they faced Cambridge at home and Waterloo on the road.

Playoffs began this weekend for the boys as they played host to Cambridge Red on Saturday. The period began with both teams battling hard, when Jake Taylor made a stellar glove save to keep the score tied 0-0 until midway through the period when Cambridge would find the back of the net. Hudsyn Chaput would answer right back for the boys with a hard low wrist shot to tie the game, assists belonged to Andrew Davis and Blake McIntosh.  The second period proved to also be fine effort for the Warriors where they only allowed Cambridge 1 goal. The score heading into the third frame found the boys trailling 3-1, but Cambridge would add to their lead for a final of 8-1. The player of the game for the Warriors was Henry Flanagan with a great defensive effort.

Sunday the Warriors would travel to Waterloo to face a team they tied a month ago, with a late comeback goal. This game proved to be quite different for the boys as they demonstrated a much improved squad utilizing great teamwork from beginning to the end of the game. The first period had the boys jump out to 3-0 lead on a pair of goals by Hudsyn Chaput and Ethan Priestap with a single. Helpers on the goals were Liam Benton, Charlie Holloway, Finley Newton and Mason Bauld. The home team would answer back with a pair of goals early in the second, but the boys would have none of that as they surged back with 6 unanswered goals, for a final score of 9-2. The final 6 goals for the Warriors were scored by Hudsyn Chaput, with his second pair of the game, Andrew Davis, Maddyx Chaput, Liam Benton  and Rem Hruden scored his first of the season as a Warrior. Assists on the final goals belonged to Will McKee, Maddyx Chaput, Blake McIntosh, Henry Flanagan and Liam Benton. Nash McIlroy and Owen Vangestal did a great job protecting the blue line and Jake Taylor was sharp in the net, while Rem Hruden was awarded the player of the game.

Next action will see the boys play a couple games at home against Cambridge on Saturday and Kitchener on Sunday.
