Weekend action with Sting & Hawks
Written by Dave Graff.  The SMHA Cherry Bus Lines Minor Bantam rep team faced a big two game weekend with future A/AA seeding implications on the line and came away with a well deserved split.

Sunday in Cambridge the shorthanded Warriors maintained a solid compete level throughout against a strong Hawks team eventually falling 3-1. Stratford was down four skaters to injury or suspension and call up Spencer Eidt had a good came on the back end providing some much need relief to the Warrior defense corps.  Ben ten Hag scored the lone goal for the visitors on a nifty deke after being sent in by Braydon Tinning on a late Warrior power play. Nolan Traynor stopped 19 shots in the Warrior goal.

Saturday in Stratford the Warriors used a quick start to tally four goals and the score stayed that way for the final half of the game in a 4-0 Stratford victory. Tallyn Soper stopped 14 Sting shots for the shutout while ten Hag led the offense with two goals, one on the power play. Connor Loerzel and Owen Fraser also scored while Brady Ballantyne, Nathan Graff and Patrick Holloway chipped in with assists.
