Warriors down Sting
Written by Dave Graff. The SMHA Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantam rep team went into the Christmas break on a positive note Sunday, making the long trek to Sarnia and beating the hometown Sting 4-1 in AA Alliance hockey action.

Patrick Holloway opened the scoring on a Warrior power play early in the first period, taking a Caleb Musselman feed, walking out and burying one top shelf to give the visitors the early lead. Jack Whitehead also assisted on the opening tally. Later in period one Ben ten Hag took a Nathan Graff clearing attempt down ice and made no mistake putting the Warriors up by two after one period. Caleb Musselman added his second helper on the goal. After the Sting cut the lead to one early in the second period some strong work on the side boards by ten Hag and Braydon Tinning freed the puck up to Zach Carman in the slot and Carman buried one short side to restore the two goal advantage going into the third period. Carman added his second into an empty Sarnia net with four seconds left with Whitehead and ten Hag assisting. The Warriors continued their strong team defensive play since making the split to the AA level and Nolan Traynor made 12 stops to notch the victory in the Stratford goal.
