Novice Warriors Settle For Split On Weekend Games
The Evoke Marketing and Promotions Novice Warriors played a pair of games this past weekend. Saturday they would host the North London Nationals and Sunday travelled to visit the London Bandits.

Saturday's game against the Nationals was a close and exciting matchup where the teams would trade goals and turns being in the lead. The Warriors would open the scoring late in the 1st frame but the Nationals would answer right back to end the 1st in a deadlock 1-1. The 2nd frame would see Stratford win the period by a score of 2-1, but the Nationals would win the 3rd frame 3-1. Although the boys put in a solid effort and would attempt to tie the game with a near close call the Nationals would pull it off 5-4. Scoring for Stratford would be Hudsyn Chaput with a pair and Maddyx Chaput and Graedon Smith each netted singles. Assists on the Warriors goals belonged to Reid Morris, Will Pepper and Jack Bannon.

Sunday would have the boys play a late morning matchup against the London Bandits. Maddyx Chaput would score a pair of goals leading the Warriors to a 3-0 win. Hudsyn Chaput opened the scoring late in the 1st frame with the assists belonging to Tyler Jackson and Reid Morris. Also earning helpers on Warrior goals would be Piers Murray, Jake Schultz, Griffin Harvey and Hudsyn Chaput. Carter Keating would play a strong game in the net for Stratford earning the shutout.

Next action for the Warriors will be an away game Friday night in London and a return matchup with the Nationals at home on Saturday afternoon.
