This past weekend the Tier 1 Novice Warriors
sponsored by Evoke Marketing and Promotions played at lone away game against the
North London Nationals and came up just short in the contest.
The Nationals would get an early break in the 1st period to open the scoring leaving them in the lead 1-0 at the end of the frame. They would add to their lead less than a minute into the 2nd period only to have Maddyx Chaput cut the lead back in half on a SH marker where he would follow up his own rebound and tap it across the goal line. London would score 1 more time near the end of the 2nd period leaving them ahead 3-1. Early in the 3rd period Jake Schultz would pull the boys back within 1 on a feed from Will Pepper but again the Nationals would answer back. The last 4:00 minute of the game was full of action as Tyler Jackson would capitalize on a beauty feed from Maddyx Chaput to once again trim the lead to a single marker, but 0:08 later the Nationals would add another repeating the up down pattern of the game. With 2:42 remaining Hudsyn Chaput would make no mistake as he buried a pass from Reid Morris to bring the Warriors within 1. The Warriors would pull Keating and add the extra attacker but could not find the equalizer. Final score was a 5-4 loss.
Next action for the Warriors will be a tournament this coming weekend at the Preston Internationals. First game gets underway Friday morning at 9:00am.
