Evoke Marketing Novice Warriors Win Home and Home Playoff Games Against Bandits
The Novice Tier 1 Warriors sponsored by Evoke Marketing and Promotions played a home and home pair of playoff games versus the London Bandits and earned 4 points this weekend with the double win.

Game 1 would be at home on Saturday when the London Bandits would make their way to the Molson Pad for the first of 2 playoff games between the teams scheduled for the weekend. The Warriors would take the play to the Bandits early and often but were denied by the hot Bandit goal tender. The game remained scoreless until the 10:13 mark of the 3rd frame when London would reward the strong play of their goalie by earning the first and only goal they would put by Carter Keating who was equally strong protecting the Warrior net.  Hudsyn Chaput would respond to the Bandits goal with the 1st goal of his natural hat trick SH for the Warriors.  Maddyx Chaput and Jake Schultz helped Chaput on his 2nd goal on the PP and Piers Murray would setup the 3rd Warrior goal. Jake Schultz would also beat the Bandits tender as he would score a buzzer beater with 0:01 remaining in the game. Stratford's defence crew of Jack Bannon, Reid Morris, Griffin Harvey, Owen Blackburn, Jack Haines and Piers Murray are to be commended as they played exceptional for the Warrior squad. Final score was a 4-1 victory.

Sunday the boys would board the bus late afternoon to head to the Western Fair Complex to return a visit to the Bandits. As history would have it, Stratford once again ran into a hot goalie and the game also remained scoreless for the first 2 periods of play, until a PP goal scored by Hudsyn Chaput got the boys on the board early in the 3rd. Jake Schultz had the helper on the goal. Shortly after Chaput's goal, Schultz would also beat the Bandits goalie, this time it was reversed and Chaput assisted Schultz. Keating again made some timely saves as he kept the Warriors in the lead, until the Bandits finally would beat him with 4:00 remaining. The Bandits would pull their goalie in an attempt to gain the tie but Maddyx Chaput would win a puck battle and score from center to cap off the 3-1 win for the squad. Tyler Jackson, Graedon Smith, and Caden Ollson did an exceptional job contributing to the Warrior win, while Nate VanBakel and Will Pepper were relentless on the forecheck for the squad.

Next action will be a lone home playoff game against the London Nationals Saturday Feb 3rd at the Molson Pad, for the first of 3 playoff games they will see each other.
