SMHA Stratford Motor Product Minor Midget rep team finished
off a perfect 3-0 week on Sunday in Woodstock beating the Jr Navy Vets 2-1. The
Warriors remain undefeated in league play at 7-0-1 as a busy December schedule
looms just around the corner.
Stratford outshot Woodstock 38-5 but after finding themselves down a goal early a Zach Carman equalizer knotted the score at a goal each after one period. Ryan Adriaanse tallied on a great individual effort in the second period following up his initial shot by burying the rebound short side for the game winner. Adriaanse also assisted on the Carman marker while Carter Musselman and Aiden Mcmann also had helpers in the victory.
The Warriors started the week off by making four first period goals stand up in a 4-2 home win over the London Mustangs White on Tuesday at the rec centre. Luke Gaylor, Caleb Mussleman, Carter Musselman and Patrick Holloway scored for Stratford. McMann, Carter Musselman, Gaylor, Braydon Tinning, Adriaanse, Nathan Graff, Owen Duiker and Owen Singer chipped in with an assist each.
On Saturday a second period redirect power play goal from Gaylor off a nice feed from Singer stood up as the winner in a 5-2 win over Hamilton. Caleb and Carter Musselman scored in the first, Tinning in the second and Jack Whitehead sealed the deal with a late empty net goal. Gaylor and Calaen Trupp each had two helpers in the win while Whitehead, Maverick Mulder, Holloway and McMann had one a piece.
