SMHA Stratford Motor Products Minor Midget rep team finished
off the regular season on the weekend and with a split of a pair of games
achieved their best ever regular season standing ending up in fourth place on
the AA side of the Alliance loop.
Sunday in Waterloo Nolan Traynor stopped 16 shots in a 4-0 shutout win over last place Waterloo. Owen Singer with a power play marker, Caleb Musselman with a beauty shorthanded, Bantam call up Issac Deline and Patrick Holloway scored for Stratford. Other Bantam call ups Ethan Scrimgeour and Cole Lewis had strong games for the Warriors, Lewis contributing an assist. Jack Whitehead and Holloway helped setup two Warrior markers while Will Schlotzhauer, Luke Gaylor and Ryan Adriaanse had one helper each.
Saturday in Stratford the London Jr Knights White set the tone early in what turned out to be a very physical game, London hanging on for a 4-2 victory. Braydon Tinning had a strong game for the Warriors contributing a goal and an assist. Luke Gaylor netted the other Stratford goal while Caleb Musselman, Owen Duiker and Scholtzhauer had an assist each.
The Warriors will open the eight team AA Constellation playdown later this week against fifth place London Jr Knights Green with the schedule yet to be determined.
