Canadian Tire Major Bantam Warriors first Roadtrip of the Season by Hugh & Denise Pearce
The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Major Bantam Rep team travelled to Kitchener to take on the Rangers on Saturday. The first period was a great battle back-and-forth and saw Ryan Middegaal let a bullet of a shot go from the point to find the back of the net to give us the lead 1-0. Kitchener would soon tie it up and take the lead on a shorthanded goal near the end of the period to make it 2-1.Second period was mostly dominated by Kitchener on the scoreboard, however Kaden Brame made a beautiful rush to split the defenders and put it in the back of the net to make it 4-2 Kitchener. The boys never gave up in the third battling hard, Danny Van Straaten scored near the end of the 3rd after a great forecheck from Noah Hoffer. Thomas Sheldon made a ton of saves throughout the game and all the boys battled hard but came up short 7-3. Warriors look to rebound on Wednesday versus New Hamburg.
