By: Hugh and Denise Pearce. Confident, fast and strong - the Warriors dominated play against the GLHS Jr Mustangs White.
The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Bantam Reps took on the London Jr Mustangs white on Tuesday December 3rd at 8pm at the Rotary Complex.
The Warriors came out hungry for a win, and Ryan Middegaal would take a pass back to the point from Owen Holloway and would blast a shot past the Mustangs goalie to make it 1-0! The Warriors had a great penalty kill and some fabulous goaltending by Liam Parsons to keep it a 1-0 game going into the 2nd. In the 2nd period Danny Van Straaten would walk out of the corner and rip a wrister home to make it 2-0 Warriors! 5 minutes later Danny Van Straaten would be sprung on a partial breakaway and fight off the defence to put it five hole on the Mustangs to make it 3-0 good guys. The Mustangs would get one back in the 3rd to make the final a 3-1 decision. All of the Warriors played a great game and should be proud of the effort they put in. Next up the Warriors will travel to Hamilton to take on the Huskies white team on Saturday December 14th.
