Weekly Recap by Brock Appel
The Royal Lepage Hiller Realty Jr. Warriors continued their winning ways with a convincing 5-3 win over the Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets on a rare Tuesday night matchup.

The boys jumped out to an early 2 nothing lead with goals by Ryan Haines assisted by Quinn Appel and goal number two by Gabe Emms from Haines and Nathaniel Smith.  A third goal was potted by Luke Ahrens from Max Harvey.  Marek Carter got into the action picking up a rebound off of a Mark Pyzowski shot with Isaac Nickel getting the secondary assist and rounding out the scoring was Nickel from Brett Knechtel and Marek Carter.

Heading into the weekend the team was vying for a place in the AA Constellation bracket.  Waterloo came to visit and dominated the first period going up 3 nil.  The lads finally got their feet moving and scoring the next three.  Goals by Nathan Gibb, (2) and Luke Ahrens tied it up midway through the third.  A penalty call that could only be described as mysterious allowed the Wolves to go up 4- 3.  A mad scramble in the dying seconds led to an Isaac Nickel goal and the Warriors tied it up 4-4. Assists in this game were credited to Pyzowski, Beckham Mcleod and Ahrens.

The boys travelled to St. Thomas for a Sunday afternoon tilt and won 4-2.  Penalty killing was the name of the game for the Warriors today as the pairings of Colten Keupfer/Kaleb Martin, Beckham Mcleod/Marek Carter and Owen Gaylor/ Brett Knechtel were tasked to hold back the Stars power play. The pairings along with Appel and Ahrens up front held  the Stars to zero goals on 3 different occasions where the Stars had prolonged 5 on 3 advantages.  Goal scorers in the game were Max Harvey, Nathaniel Smith and Mark Pyzowski. The power forwards Harvey and Smith (wearing a new number) each added assists as the two bullied their way around the ice all day Sunday. Nickel and Martin also contributed to the cause with helpers.
